The Diocese of Exeter in England has created a Deacon's Toolkit, which includes a section called 'A Potted History of the Diaconate.' The document is short introduction to the diaconate throughout church history and also includes suggestions for further reading.

The Anglican Church in Canada has produced a detailed report on training for the diaconate titled "The Iona Report". The report is the outcome of their Task Force on the Diaconate and includes detailed "Competencies for Lifelong Learning, Formation, and Training for the Diaconate in the Anglican Church of Canada."
The report may be of particular use to dioceses producing detailed outlines for the training of deacons.

In 2014 the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne produced a detailed Brochure titled, “The Distinctive Ministry of the Deacon”. The full colour brochure covers images and metaphors for the diaconate as well as listing various ministries undertaken by deacons and outlining the the role of the deacon in the liturgy of the Eucharist.

While Anglican diaconal understandings and practises vary across the country, the brochure may be a helpful guide to present to those who may be unfamiliar with the ministry of deacons in the Anglican church in Australia.
